Pioneers of self-guided cycling vacations, Pure Adventures (http://pure-adventures.com/), announces a new high-end offering, Passport to the American West, one or two-week, self-drive and hike vacations focused on the 2016 Centennial Celebration of the US National Park Service.

Amazing Zion

These vacations that include a National Park pass, award-winning audio tour guides of visited parks, premier accommodation selections, a detailed road book and suggestions on the best hikes can also be customized to a client’s budget and interests.

With suggested travel during the best times to see the West, Pure Adventures recommends warm season tours from March through November. The deserts are very hot in high summer, but the mountains and canyons are cool. Peak visitors are expected in June-September. Ideal travel months are April, May, June and October.

Passport to the American West: Phoenix to Las Vegas starts in the Valley of the Sun and ends in Las Vegas, with the marvels of Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce National Parks explored on the one-week, seven-night program. Guests hike from two to four hours each day. The per person double rate from $1,285 includes seven nights lodging, arrival orientation with route book briefing and hiking suggestions and adaptations, detailed hiking and driving route book for the entire tour with notes about what to see and do along the way. Pre trip materials also include maps and necessary info for finding trailheads and enjoying the suggested hikes, driving routes included as well as sites, restaurants, and things to do. Pure Adventures offers limited support by phone with problems during travels, a National Park Pass, some meals and pre-travel documentation and options for additional services.

Passport to the American West - Las Vegas to San Francisco is a seven day, six night program with inclusions similar to the Phoenix to Las Vegas tour. It continues the journey from Las Vegas and incorporates Death Valley, Yosemite, and Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Parks for six nights before concluding in San Francisco. The per person double rate starts at $1,125.

For security and enlightenment while on the highway and inside each national park visited, travelers will be outfitted with the newest GPS-driven road trip technology by Just Ahead, producer of hands-free audio guides for smartphones. Recently named Best Travel App by the editors of Sunset magazine, this technology utilizes GPS to know precisely where drivers are on the road, and delivers stories and maps relevant to their exact location. The app points out not-to-miss features while also helping drivers avoid getting lost, by providing suggested directions and telling drivers why they should turn or not, what they should do after a turn, and the best direction to take if there are multiple route options.

Car rentals are not included in the above programs but can be arranged when booking these vacations. You can huge discounts vehicle rentals by getting coupons at https://www.groupon.com/coupons/stores/sixt.com. Lodging upgrades can also be secured.
