The Palapa Society of Todos Santos, A.C.

About Us

The PalapaSociety is a Mexican non-profit that helps enrich the lives of local children through its after-school English language program called Bridge-to-English, and by providing scholarships for high school and college students who otherwise would not have the means to attend school. Other programs include Summer Camp, Eco Kids, an art program and a children's medical program. All is volunteer-driven and no child who wants to participate is ever turned away. The PalapaSociety was started in 2003, but it really took off in 2012 when Peter Buck of REM - who has a home in TodosSantos - started the TodosSantos Music Festival to raise money for The PalapaSociety.
