Exciting News: Progress in Our Plantation Program

We are thrilled to announce significant strides in our plantation program this year, marking a period of remarkable learning and growth. As we continue to refine our strategies and embrace new ideas, we’re excited to share some transformative developments.

In our ongoing commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability, we’ve explored various innovative approaches, including forging new partnerships with ECO Clubs. One of our most groundbreaking initiatives involves integrating trekking guides into our plantation activities along the trekking trails.

Traditionally, the rainy season (June, July, August) brings a lull in trekking activities, leaving guides with fewer opportunities for work. Recognizing this, we seized the chance to involve them in our plantation efforts. This initiative not only offers them wages comparable to their trekking season earnings but also aligns perfectly with our environmental objectives.

The response to this pilot project has been overwhelmingly positive. We engaged a dedicated team of 8 trekking guides and porters, whose participation has significantly elevated the impact of our plantation program. Their enthusiasm and hard work have given our efforts a substantial boost, driving forward our green mission.

We’re excited to share a selection of photos from the project, highlighting the remarkable progress we’ve made. These images capture the spirit of collaboration and environmental stewardship that defines our work.

As we continue to build on this success, we look forward to bringing you more updates and sharing further advancements in our plantation program.
