If you love adventure and fancy yourself to be an all-weather trekker and you wish to conquer snow-peaked Himalayan trails only few people in the world has done, this is the trek for you.
This trek has been described as one of the most difficult treks in the world.
There are two trails you can take on this trek popularly known as the Snowmen Trek I and Snowmen trek II. Both these treks take about 25 trekking days and you are recommended to stay in Bhutan for about 30 days (plus or minus two days) in total.
The trek begins in Paro in western Bhutan and you will trek across the northern frontiers of Bhutan and exit in central Bhutan.
The Snowmen Trek will enable you to experience virgin Himalayan territories. You will see most of the towering Himalayan mountains including the highest unclimbed mountain in the world – Gangkar Puensum (7,570m).
You will camp in alpine altitudes with the highest camp located at 5,120m.
The trek will give you an amazing opportunity to trek a route travelled by less than 100 tourists from all over the world in a year. If you love photography, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you.
You will see some exotic and endangered flora and fauna and also meet local highlanders and you can interact and understand their lifestyle.
