Volcanoes Safaris – The Number 1 Gorilla Safari Company – do not just offer safaris but aim to create a unique great ape experience for guests visiting Uganda and Rwanda. With an unrivalled, visionary approach to great ape ecotourism we aim to give clients a special insight into the complex gorilla-human world. Over the past decade, no other company has invested so heavily in the areas around the gorilla parks of Uganda & Rwanda. We were the first international company to take clients back into Rwanda in 2000 and we have lead over 2000 guests on safari to see the worlds 700 remaining mountain gorillas, including: President Bill Clinton, Senator Bill Frist, Rahm Emanuel - White House Chief of Staff, Jack Hanna, the President and Board of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and a Walt Disney Group. We have three eco-lodges near the gorilla parks in Uganda and Rwanda, and are currently building Kyambura Gorge Lodge in Uganda, next to a threatened community of chimpanzees. All our lodges respect the fragility of the surrounding area and the culture of local communities. We also operate all our own ground services using our own guides and vehicles to create an unforgettable journey to the great apes!
